Change in the Sun Line Explained

It’s the symbol of the Serpent!
The symbol of a Snake/Serpent can denote enemies and obstacles that are secret, or not visible, and has a strong association with Rahu. The activation of the obstacle will occur at the age when the snake emerged from the Life Line, the Head Line or the Heart Line. The negative obstacle will persist as long as the person is not aware of the negative influence that affects his life. In some cases, it can last for decades; in others, only a few weeks.
Serpents are associated with Shiva (who is covered with snakes) and Vishnu (who rests on the 7-headed serpent, Shesha) and are “metaphors” of a being fully enlightened and/or awakened to spiritual life.
This symbol, called Sarpa Rekha (that is, Serpent Line) in Indian traditions, is also associated with luck, transformation for positive change, and victory over battles. It usually appears as a sinuous or curved line that resembles the body of a snake [as in the examples illustrated], often S-shaped or spiral. Its traditional meanings in Vedic palmistry are:
- Transformation and positive change — representing growth, evolution, and victory in the face of life’s challenges.
- Spiritual awakening — symbolizing inner transformation, enlightenment, and a deeper connection with the unconscious or higher self.
- Dual nature — reflecting both wisdom and danger, adaptability and caution, much like the mythological symbolism of the serpent.
On the Mount of Sun specifically, means creative evolution/expansion and artistic rebirth.
In the Heart Line, indicates someone of the opposite sex, usually a former lover, can cause conflicts. On the positive side, a new lover can bring luck, winnings, and/or fulfilled desires.
It is no mere coincidence that I have a Drum and a Trident also in my active hand! All these symbols (Snake, Drum, Trident) are associated with Shiva and, Shiva, is Saturn! Nor is it mere coincidence that I have Rahu (the head of the Serpent Swarbhanu) in the 3rd house (of my horoscope), which represents hands! 😱
