At the Full Moon on May 22, 2024, I got the special visit of what seemed to be an Eastern Kingsnake! It crawled around my window several times attempting to reach a bird nest on top of the gutter under the roof of my 1-story apt-house. Two days later, another (not seemingly the same) snake appeared on the little tree in front of it. A guy nice guy came and took it to safety and he said it was a Rat-Snake.
I’m not convinced the snake taken by the nice guy was the snake that appeared on my window two days prior. I think they are two different snakes as the one he took was totally black and the one on my window had a spotted white belly! So, I’m puzzled and suspicious the first snake, which I think is an Eastern Kingsnake is still out there somewhere. As the bird nest was removed, the snake lost interest in the spot. But she may be living inside the roof somewhere as sometimes I hear strange noises up there.
